Hit every keyframe you set
Upload up to ten keyframe images and set where each one lands on the timeline, and the model builds a video that passes through each frame in order, transitioning between them. It generates picture and sound together, so the saved clip has audio. A prompt is optional.

• Want smooth motion — space the frame indices evenly across the timeline, so the model has room to move between each keyframe.

• Want fast cuts — cluster the frame indices close together, and the model snaps between keyframes quickly.

• Add more beats — connect more keyframes, up to ten, and give each one a frame index in order.

• Want higher quality or a longer clip — switch to Full HD or raise the duration to the 20-second maximum. Both raise the per-run cost.

• Making vertical content — set the aspect ratio to 9:16 for phones and short-form feeds. Auto matches your keyframe images.

Prompt: The prompt is optional here, since the keyframes and their positions define the sequence. When you do add one, describe the motion or sound between frames, like "camera drifts left, ambient street noise." Keep the keyframes consistent in subject and framing so the transitions read as motion rather than morphs.

What is FLUX 3?
FLUX 3 is Black Forest Labs' first multimodal video model, announced in July 2026 and made generally available in August 2026. It is trained jointly on images, video, and audio, and generates HD video up to 20 seconds with native sound. This workflow runs it in keyframe mode, building a sequence through up to ten images you place on the timeline.

How does keyframes to video work?
You upload up to ten keyframe images and give each one a frame index, which is the point on the timeline where that image should appear. The model then builds a video that passes through each keyframe in order, generating the motion and sound that connect them. A prompt is optional and only steers the transitions.

Does the saved video have sound?
Yes. This workflow keeps the native audio that FLUX 3 generates, so the saved file has a sound track rather than being silent. The model builds the audio alongside the picture in the same pass, timed to the sequence you set with your keyframes.

How many keyframes can I use, and how do frame indices work?
You can place up to ten keyframes, and each frame index sets when that image lands in the clip. At 24 frames per second, a 5-second clip is 120 frames, so indices of 0, 60, and 120 put three keyframes at the start, middle, and end. Even spacing gives smooth motion, and tight spacing gives fast cuts.

How long can a FLUX 3 clip be?
A single generation runs up to 20 seconds, which is longer than the roughly 10-second ceiling on many video models. Clips are HD by default, with Full HD available, and anything longer than 20 seconds needs a continuation step rather than one pass.

Can I use FLUX 3 videos commercially?
FLUX 3 is a proprietary model accessed through Black Forest Labs' API, so commercial use is governed by BFL's terms and its pay-as-you-go pricing rather than an open license. Commercial use is generally supported for ads and content, but review BFL's current terms and make sure you have the rights to the images you upload.
