ABOUT THE WORKFLOW
Animate a Still With Sound Upload a start image and describe the motion you want. Seedance 2.5 builds the picture and the audio together in one pass and returns a clip with sound. Add an optional end image to steer where the shot lands.
Partner node. This workflow calls an external API, so each run uses credits from your API wallet. No API key needed. Floyo handles the connection.
Model
Seedance 2.5 by ByteDance. Announced 23 June 2026 at the Volcano Engine FORCE conference and launched publicly July 2026. The flagship of the Seedance video family. Generates native single-shot clips up to 30 seconds at up to 4K with sound in one pass. Accepts up to 50 multimodal reference inputs, though this workflow uses one or two images.
HOW IT WORKS
Step 1. Upload your start image The frame the clip opens on. It sets the subject, the scene, and the framing. Works great with: portraits · product shots · character art · location photos
Step 2. Upload an end image (optional) The frame the clip should land on. Helps the model plan the motion path from start to finish.
Step 3. Describe the motion Say what moves and how, plus the camera and the sound. "The person slowly turns to face the camera and smiles, soft ambient music."
Step 4. Set resolution and length Pick 720p or higher and a duration in seconds. Both settings drive what a run costs.
Step 5. Hit run and download The clip is split into frames and audio, packed into an MP4, and saved under video/Seedance2.5. Ready for: Premiere · DaVinci Resolve · CapCut · After Effects
First time? Leave every setting as-is. The defaults (720p · 5 seconds · audio on · mp4) are the right starting point for almost everyone.
RECOMMENDED SETTINGS
Quick-start guide. Find the goal that matches yours and copy the settings.
Standard clip (most people) — 720p · 5 seconds · audio on · mp4. The right starting point for almost everyone.
Need a longer clip — Raise the duration. Seedance 2.5 handles up to 30 seconds in a single pass with no stitching. Duration drives cost.
Want the shot to land on a specific frame — Upload a second image as the end frame. The model plans the motion between the two. Frame the subject at a similar size in both images.
Sound is not matching the action — Describe the sound separately in the prompt after the visual action. Name the room tone, effects, and score as their own lines.
Want a silent clip — Turn audio off. The model skips the audio pass entirely.
The motion is wrong — Rewrite the prompt before you touch a setting. Name each movement, the camera behaviour, and what stays fixed.
The clip looks generic — Add more detail. Name the lighting, the time of day, the camera speed, and the texture of surfaces. Short vague prompts return short generic clips.
Prompt: Write the action and the sound as separate lines. "She turns slowly toward the camera, wind catches her hair, camera holds steady" then "soft ambient piano, distant traffic hum." Splitting the brief this way gives the model a clear read on what to show and what to play.

USE CASES
🎬 Social Video Turn one still into a short clip with matching sound for Reels, TikTok, or Shorts, up to 30 seconds in a single run.
📢 Ads and Product Films Animate a product shot into a finished spot with room tone and effects already on the track.
🎞️ Start-to-End Interpolation Give the model a first frame and a last frame and get smooth motion between the two with matching audio.
🎨 Previz and Mood Films Test how a still moves and sounds before committing to a production schedule or a camera day.
WHAT WORKS BEST / WHAT TO AVOID
✅ Works great
Clear, well-lit start images with one readable subject
Prompts that name the movement, the camera, and the sound separately
Start and end images framed at a similar subject size
Clips of 5 to 15 seconds as a starting range
⚠️ May produce softer results
Short keyword prompts with no camera or sound direction
Fast collisions or complex physics
Clips pushed to 30 seconds on a first test without iteration
Start and end images with wildly different framing
FAQ
What is Seedance 2.5? Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's flagship video model, announced 23 June 2026 at the Volcano Engine FORCE conference and launched publicly July 2026. It generates native single-shot clips up to 30 seconds at up to 4K with synchronized audio in one pass. It supports text to video, image to video, and reference to video, and accepts up to 50 multimodal reference inputs in a single generation.
Does Seedance 2.5 generate audio with the video? Yes. Sound is generated in the same pass as the picture, so effects, room tone, and background music land on the same timeline as the action. Describe the sound in your prompt and it goes onto the track. Turn audio off if you want a silent clip.
Can Seedance 2.5 interpolate between a start and end frame? Yes. Upload a second image as the end frame and the model builds smooth motion from the first to the last. Both images should frame the subject at a similar size for the cleanest result.
What is the difference between this and the Seedance 2.5 text-to-video workflow? Text to video generates a clip from a prompt alone, with no input image. This workflow starts from a picture you upload, using it as the opening frame and conditioning the entire clip on its look. Use text to video to make something from scratch and this one to animate a still you already have.
Is Seedance 2.5 open source? No. Seedance 2.5 is a closed model with no published weights. It is reached through the ByteDance Seed API. No version of Seedance has had its weights released publicly.
How long can a Seedance 2.5 clip be? Up to 30 seconds in a single pass with no stitching. Duration and resolution together drive what a run costs.
How to run Seedance 2.5 image to video online? You can run Seedance 2.5 image to video online through Floyo. No installation, no setup, no API key to wire up. Open the workflow in your browser, upload your image, describe the motion, and hit run. Free to try.
WHY FLOYO?
Floyo is the only platform with team collaboration for ComfyUI in the browser. You run workflows with no install. You share run history, assets, and models across your team. You pay only when you generate. Floyo supports open-source and closed-source models.
A designer runs an edit and likes the result. A teammate opens that exact run from shared history and keeps going. No file handoffs. No version confusion.
For studios and enterprise teams, Floyo adds private workspaces, pooled resources, and a team usage dashboard. Other ComfyUI cloud tools run for one person at a time. Floyo runs for the whole team, with transparent per-generation costs.
Ready to try it? Upload a start image, describe the motion, and run it. The settings are already set.
