ABOUT THE WORKFLOW

Generate a 3D Model from Text Describe the object you want, including its shape, material, and style. Meshy 7 generates a textured 3D mesh you can rotate in the built-in preview, then export in the format your pipeline needs. That's it.

HOW IT WORKS

Step 1. Write your prompt Describe the 3D object you want. Name the object, its materials, its style, and any details that matter. Up to 800 characters. Works great with: props · characters · furniture · vehicles · environment pieces

Step 2. Hit run Meshy 7 generates the geometry and textures. Full mode produces a complete textured model. Preview mode generates geometry only if you want a faster look first.

Step 3. Preview your model The finished model loads in a 3D viewer right in the workflow. Rotate it, check the mesh, and decide whether to export or re-run with a different prompt.

  • Quick shape check before committing — Switch mode to "preview." It generates geometry only, no textures, so it finishes faster and costs fewer credits.

  • Game-ready topology — Switch model type to "smart topology." The mesh comes back with cleaner edge flow, closer to what a game engine expects without manual retopology.

  • Highest quality for a hero asset — Turn ultra mode on. Sharpest textures and tightest geometry, at 5 extra credits per run.

  • Need quads for DCC editing — Switch topology from triangle to quad. Quads are easier to subdivide and edit in Blender, Maya, or ZBrush.

  • Symmetrical object like a vase or helmet — Set symmetry mode to "x" instead of "auto." Forces mirror symmetry across the X axis for cleaner results on symmetrical shapes.

  • Reducing polycount for mobile or web — Lower target polycount toward 5,000 to 10,000. Range goes from 100 to 300,000.

Prompt: Name the object, then describe its materials and surface details. "Weathered wooden treasure chest, iron metal bands, slightly open lid, realistic wood textures" is specific. "A cool chest" is not. Style cues like "stylized," "low-poly," or "hand-painted" shape the output.
