HOW IT WORKS
Step 1. Upload your image The photo you want to edit. A clear, well-lit subject gives the model the most to work with. Works great with: portraits · product shots · scenes with a clear subject
Step 2. Describe the change Write a plain-language instruction. Name what to change and what to leave alone. "Remove the goggles on his head" reads better than "remove goggles." No masks, no selection tools.
Step 3. Hit run and download You get back the original and the edited image stitched side by side, so you can check the result against the source at a glance. Ready for: Photoshop · Figma · Canva · any editor
First time? Leave every setting as-is. The defaults (1 image · JPEG output) are the right starting point for almost everyone.
RECOMMENDED SETTINGS
Quick-start guide. Find the goal that matches yours and copy the settings.
Standard edit (most people) Start here — 1 image · JPEG · one clear instruction. The right starting point for almost everyone.
Want a few options to pick from — Raise the number of images. Each run returns several takes on the same edit, so you can keep the strongest.
Need a transparent background or top quality — Switch the output format to PNG. JPEG is smaller and fine for most edits, PNG holds transparency and finer detail.
Stack multiple edits — Run one change, download the edited side, upload it as your new input, and edit again. Each pass builds on the last.
Removing or swapping an object — Say where it sits in the frame. "Remove the sign on the left wall" gives the model a target, where "remove the sign" leaves it guessing.
Prompt: Name the one change and what to preserve. "Replace the background with a sunset beach, keep the person unchanged" beats "make it better." Keep it specific and avoid stacking five edits into one line.
Output format: JPEG by default. Switch to PNG when you need transparency or want to keep the most detail.
USE CASES
🛒 E-commerce & Product Swap a background, change a product's color, or drop an item into a styled scene from one reference photo. Good for listings, mockups, and marketing shots without a reshoot.
🎨 Designers & Creatives Restyle an image, change the environment, or refine details through text. No layer masks or selection work, so you move from idea to result in seconds.
📸 Photo Retouching Remove a distracting object, clean up the edge of a frame, or adjust an element while the rest of the photo holds its lighting and composition.
🖼️ Concept & Client Review Generate quick variations and use the built-in before/after output to show a client the change against the original in a single image.

A clear, single subject
Adding, removing, or swapping an object
Background replacement
Style, color, and lighting changes
⚠️ May produce softer results
Small or cluttered details
Many edits requested in one prompt
Low-resolution or heavily compressed inputs
Vague instructions with no target

FAQ
What is Grok Imagine Image Edit? Grok Imagine Image Edit is a text-driven image editing model from xAI, the team behind Grok. You upload an image, describe the change in plain language, and the model applies it while keeping the rest of the scene intact. It runs on xAI's Aurora architecture and edits without any masking or selection step.
Do I need to mask the area I want to edit? No. Grok Imagine edits from your text prompt alone. There is no brushing, no lasso, no manual selection. You name the change ("change the jacket to red," "remove the car in the background") and the model finds the right region and edits it in place.
How is Grok Imagine different from other image editors? Grok Imagine uses an autoregressive Aurora model rather than the diffusion approach behind most editors. In practice that means strong identity, lighting, and perspective preservation, so edits look natural instead of pasted on. It has been praised for handling uploaded-image edits well compared to ChatGPT and Gemini.
Can Grok Imagine remove or swap objects in a photo? Yes. Object removal, addition, and swapping are core strengths, all driven by a text prompt. For the cleanest result, point at the object and its location, like "remove the goggles on his head." Busy or overlapping objects are harder, so a clear target helps.
What image formats does this workflow output? This workflow outputs JPEG by default, and you can switch it to PNG when you need transparency or the most detail. The result comes back as the original and the edit placed side by side, which makes before/after comparison quick.
Can I use Grok Imagine edits commercially? Yes. Images you generate on Floyo carry full commercial rights, so you can use the edited results in client work, product listings, marketing, and shipped projects without extra licensing.
Why does my output show two images side by side? That is by design. This workflow stitches the original and the edited image together into one before/after frame so you can judge the change against the source. If you only want the edited image, save the right-hand side or adjust the workflow to skip the join step.
How to run Grok Imagine online? You can run Grok Imagine online through Floyo. No installation, no setup, no API keys to wire up. Open the workflow in your browser, upload an image, write a prompt, and hit run. Free to try.
WHY FLOYO?
Floyo is the only platform with team collaboration for ComfyUI in the browser. You run workflows with no install. You share run history, assets, and models across your team. You pay only when you generate. Floyo supports open-source and closed-source models.
A designer runs an edit and likes the result. A teammate opens that exact run from shared history and keeps going. No file handoffs. No version confusion.
For studios and enterprise teams, Floyo adds private workspaces, pooled resources, and a team usage dashboard. Other ComfyUI cloud tools run for one person at a time. Floyo runs for the whole team, with transparent per-generation costs.
Ready to try it? Upload your first image and run it. The prompt is the only thing you need to write.
